A Victorian ebonised and brass-mounted quarter-chiming table clock, circa 1880
The case with flaming urn finials and swag mounts to the bell top, with caryatid and flower mounts to all angles and heavy cast handles above radiant mask sound frets to the sides, on scroll feet, the brass dial with foliate scroll spandrels to the silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, signed HENRY BRIGHT LEAMINGTON, matted centre, with subsidiary rings above for chime silent and selection for Westminster chimes or chimes on 8/10 bells, the eight day triple chain fusee movement with anchor escapement, with hour strike on gong and quarter chimes on four gongs, eight or ten bells, the back plate engraved with leafy sprigs and with pendulum holdfast -- 28¼in. (72cm.) high
