Chancery 4° (214 x 150mm). Gothic type, double column, initial spaces. (Library stamp removed from title, a few small wormholes at end, occasional light dust-soiling.) Contemporary South-German blindstamped pigskin over wooden boards, 2 brass fore-edge clasps (a little wear at head of spine, a few small wormholes on back board).
This copy of the most popular collections of saints' lives in the later Middle Ages retains C8 and the following leaf, containing the legend of Thomas à Becket, missing in both British Library copies. C 6455; BMC III, 733; Goff J-125.
