Painted with a nocturnal shore scene of two figures seated by an open fire, a boat at the shore and three more in the distance, within a gilt quatrefoil cartouche with Böttger-lustre panels edged with gilt and red scrolls, the reverse with three insects about a flower-spray in the Kakiemon manner, the interior painted in Eisenrot with a galleon in full-sail within a double concentric circle cartouche, below a gilt band rim (minute chip to footrim, scratching to surface within footrim, some areas of wear to gilding)
