Modelled by J.P. Melchior with his body twisted to the left with his left arm raised, wearing a pale-yellow jacket with a pale-blue border and gilt buttons, a white shirt and puce breeches, standing barefoot by a pile of rocks, his right hand steadying three eggs in his black hat by gripping the brim, a broken egg at his feet, on a grassy mound base edged with rocks (minute chipping to edge of base, minute flake to enamel of hat brim, slight firing faults to legs)
