Signed P. Norris, Liverpool, No. 6078. First quarter 19th Century
The frosted gilt three-quarter plate chain fusee movement jewelled to the third, the engraved cock with diamond endstone, the bimetallic balance with blued steel helical hairspring, chronometer escapement with pivotted detent, the white enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute ring, subsidiary seconds, up and down indication at XII, gold halberd hands, in later silver case hallmarked Chester 1889
