London, 1561, maker's mark a bird's claw in a shaped cartouche
The bombé jug with cylindrical collar, on circular foot with scalloped border mount, the neck mount engraved with strapwork, the hinged cover chased with masks, fruit and foliage and with with scroll and shell thumbpiece and baluster finial, marked on collar mount and cover
