The silvered metal case finely cast with well defined foliate scrolls and strap work inhabited with cherubs and fruit, the handle cast with two beasts facing a central gadrooned finial, the base stamped 5952, the dial with gilt mask and white enamel Roman and Arabic chapter disc signed Paul Garnier Paris with alarm ring below, the twin spring barrel movement with silvered platform lever escapement, strike/repeat/alarm on a gong on the backplate signed Paul Garnier Paris, movement punched 5952
