The case formed of two obelisks applied with ormolu beaded and foliate mounts with lion masks-and-chain mounts beneath ball finials, the plinths applied with martian trophies and enclosed within ormolu chained balusters, on a rectangular marble plinth supported on ormolu toupie feet, the Minerva figure atop the movement drum casing with white enamel convex dial signed Richard AParia with Arabic chapters and concentric calendar ring with pierced ormolu hands, the twin barrel movement with silk-suspended sunburst pendulum and countwheel strike on a bell
