Hamon [tempering pattern]: suguha with utsuri
Nakago [tang]: ubu with one hole
Habaki [collar]: double, gold carved with a hollyhock crest
Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 8¼in. (20.8cm.) long
In shirasaya [plain wood storage scabbard]
With a Tokubetsu hozon token (Sword especially worthy of preserving) no. 302844 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword) attributing this sword to the first generation Shigekuni, dated 1975.2.3
