The waisted case surmounted by three cherubs emblematic of Love and with the figures of two lovers resting on a shell-cast plateau below, a dog to one side, the white enamel dial with blue Roman chapters and black Arabic chapters, pierced and engraved ormolu hands, the movement with rectangular plates with canted lower corners and joined by four back-pinned pillars, single barrel, now converted to anchor escapement, formerly with repeat work; pendulum, winding key, regulation key
