A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE SCABBARD FITTING, 3RD/2ND CENTURY BC
the flat surface carved in relief with tiny raised nodes each interlocked with an incised line; a pale celadon jade scabbard fittings with minor russet inclusions, the surface with regularly arranged scrolling nodes or grain-pattern design, Ming or later; a mottled greyish celadon jade scabbard fitting, the upper surface incised with a rush-mat pattern, 3rd/2nd Century BC; a pale celadon jade fitting with areas of white alteration especially to the underside, the flattened surface carved with a very geometrically stylised beast-head terminal, with raised circular nodes to the rest of the surface; and a green deep and russet jade fitting of larger dimensions to the others with well spaced scrolling grain-pattern design to the surface -- The first 3 3/8in.
