Cal. 17''' nickel-finished lever movement, 40 jewels, bimetallic compensation balance, micrometer regulator, repeating on two hammers onto two gongs, gold cuvette with engraved inscription Presented to George Duncan Davie by the Directors of the Submarine Boat Corporation U.S.A. as a token of appreciation of the great energy and ability shown for the British Admiralty of 325 eighty-foot motor launches at Levis, P.Q., during 1915 and 1916, white enamel dial, Breguet numerals, outer red Arabic five minute divisions, two subsidiary dials for 30 minutes register and constant seconds, circular plain case, engraved initials GDD on the back, hidden hinges, split seconds chronograph mechanism operated through a button in the band and through the crown, crown locking lever in the band, case, cuvette, dial and movement signed

With Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with Breguet numerals in 1914 and its subsequent sale on 18 October 1915. Furthermore delivered with a Tiffany & Co. presentation box.

George Duncan Davie was the son of George Taylor Davie, master shipbuilder and founder of a shipyard in Lévis, Province of Quebec in Canada. The Davie shipyard played a central role in the history of Canadian shipbuilding and had a decisive influence on the economic development of the Lévis area.
