Th funeral for MARIA BARBARA (1711-1758), Princess of Brazil and wife of King Ferdinand VI of Spain, was held in the cathedral of Lima on 4 September 1759. The large folding plate shows the great catafalque erected for the occasion, while the two letterpress acrostics contribute to the many verses printed in the text.
