Sugata [configuration]: hirazukuri, iori-mune, even curve, full kissaki
Kitae [forging pattern]: itame-hada, jinie, with shirake utsuri
Hamon [tempering pattern]: notare with gunome
Boshi [tip]: komaru on omote and togari on ura
Nakago [tang]: ubu, sujigai file marks, one extended mekugi-ana, re-shaped kirijiri
Nagasa [length of blade]: 42.6cm
Horimono [carving]: futasuji-hi on omote, koshibi on ura
Koshirae [mounting]: In shirasaya together with its wakizashi mounting, dappled black-lacquered saya, iron tsuba with a shishi, a pouch, and a sho, details in gold inlay, the fuchigashira of shibuichi with rural huts in iroe-takazogan, menuki of auspicious emblems in shakudo with gold details, iron kozuka in the form of a sword tang with inlaid chrysanthemum mon and inscription Amakuni saku
