Cartouche-shaped box with bombé sides, the slightly raised cover and sides engraved with c-scrolls, flowerheads and foliage, the base panel engine-turned with scalework pattern, lobed thumbpiece (Rome, circa 1840); together with a rectangular box, all over engine-turned with symmetrical arabesque motifs confronting polished and matted parts, burnished rims, slightly raised thumbpiece (by Charles Magnin, Geneva, circa 1830/1840)
