Contemporary maroon morocco covers with triple gilt rule border, spine in 5 compartments with 4 wide raised bands, gilt lettered in three compartments, board edges and turn-ins gilt, gilt edges concealing a DOUBLE FORE-EDGE PAINTING OF MONTAGU HOUSE FRAMED BY FOLIAGE AND TWO SHIELDS OF LONDON AND ALTHORP, SEAT OF THE EARL OF SPENCER, FRAMED BY VARIOUS BOOKS by Upham's Library, Bath with binder's ticket on upper doublure (upper hinge broken, joints rubbed, spine faded).
