Laon Cathedral, or Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Laon, is in the city of Laon, in Picardy, Northern France. It dates from the 12th and 13th Centuries and is known for its imposing Gothic architecture and its distinctive towers.

Several other works from this series of architectural views of the west fronts of French cathedrals were shown at the exhibition John Piper: Oil Paintings, Gouaches and Ceramics at Marlborough Fine Art, London, in 1972.
