A PAIR OF SMALL BLUE AND WHITE DISHES
LATE MING DYNASTY, CIRCA 1625
The center of each is decorated with a prunus tree beneath a small crescent moon, below a band of Tibetan characters on the everted rim, which is decorated on the underside with a band of classic scroll above a frieze of floral meander on the shallow rounded sides. An apocryphal Xuande mark is on the base.
