Lot Essay

Ohchi's poster design for the Japanese Exhibition of Form and Function shows further example of the artist's playful designs in the use of non-naturalistic and exaggerated imagery. The exhibition's theme of progression is depicted in a conceptual and comical way showing the evolution of a frong and the development of the motorcar.
