A virtually identical burr-elem console table attributed to Guillaume Beneman (maître in 1785) is illustrated in D. Ledoux-Lebard , Le Mobilier Français du XIXème siècle, Paris, 1989, p. 69. The latter console, formerly in the Castille Collection, came en suite with a commode and a secrétaire-à-abattant both stamped by the celebrated ébéniste and illustrated Ibid, p. 68.
