A DAUNIAN BICHROME POTTERY KYATHOS
CIRCA 525-475 B.C.
With everted flaring rim, the high strap handle in the form of a stylized figure with upraised arms, with applied disc 'eyes', the 'body' with central panel of interlocking concentric diamonds, pierced below, flanked by two knobs, the back of the handle with stylised 'ladder', the interior with stylized standing figure, the exterior with concentric bands and sets of tongues, beneath pairs of diagonal lines with stylized legs at the apices, base with spoked-wheel pattern
