The rectangular box with overhanging cover, decorated in gold, silver, red and black, hiramaki-e, takamaki-e, hirame, gold foil and inlaid mother-of-pearl on a nashiji ground with two wrestlers performing, the interior fitted with a centered panel supporting slate inkstone and copper waterdropper in lead alloy liner, the interior of the cover with a lady beneath a maple tree and willow on a riverbank, all on a nashiji ground
