TIBET, XVIIIEME SIECLE
The centre depicts the green Syamatara seated in lalitasana on a lotus dais with her right hand in varadamudra while the left is raised in vitarkamudra. Both hands are holding the stems of lotuses that flower along her upper arms. Her face displays a serene expression and her hair is coiffed in a chignon. She is surrounded by twenty-two other forms and all are placed in a mountainous landscape.
