Lot Essay

In the colophon, the scribes states that he wrote this copy for Taj al-Mudarrisin Khawand Mawlana Muhammad Muslim.

More than one author wrote works by the title Tahrir Uqlidis. However that responsible for our text is likely to be Nasir al-Din Tusi as the colophon gives the date of completion of the text as 22 Sha'ban 646/17 December 1248-49 AD.

For a short discussion on Euclid and another copy of this work, see lot 358.
