A GILT-BRONZE FIGURE OF BUDDHA AKSHOBYA
16TH CENTURY
Buddha Akshobya is seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base with his hands held in bhumisparshamudra. He is dressed in monk's robes and his face is serene, with a gentle smile and downcast eyes, his hair is dressed in tight curls and tied in a topknot. A vajra is in front of him on the base.

A private Swiss collection, predominantly acquired in France in the 1980s and 1990s.
