The Portraits of Hector Berlioz, 2003, p. 340-341).

Long considered the only daguerreotype portrait of Hector Berlioz, this image is distinguished by its depiction of a man with a high, prominent, and proud forehead, thin tightly pressed lips, and narrow shoulders contrasting with the volume of his head. Yet since 2003 it has been included among the portraits erroneously attributed to Berlioz in the major study devoted to his iconography (G. Braam, H. Macdonald, R. Macnutt, and J. Warrack, The Portraits of Hector Berlioz, 2003, pp. 340-341).
