the case with fret-carved panel to the pagoda top, brass-capped fluted columns, conforming three-quarter pilasters flanking the breakarch trunk door, on steeped block plinth centred by a raised radial gadrooned panel, the gilt-brass dial with silvered chime/silent and Whittington/Cambridge chime rings to the arch, foliate and mask spandrels, the matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring and silvered plaque with retailer's signature WM.
