A Victorian mahogany longcase clock case, second quarter 19th century
The hood with swan-neck pediment centred by a foliate carved cresting, turned outset columns, with short trunk door flanked by turned pilasters, the plinth with recessed circular panel, the redecorated white dial painted with scene of a rider jumping a fence to the arch and with spandrels depicting dogs, subsidiary calendar and seconds rings to the centred signed W. Buxton B. Auckland; now with electrical movement -- 93in. (236cm.) high
