A mahogany longcase clock
The hood with blind fret carving below a swan neck pediment, outset reeded columns, with reeded 3/4 pilasters flanking the breakarch trunk door with chequer inlay, conforming decoration to the plinth with chamfered sides and on bracket feet, the associated and redecorated dial with adapted arch, subsidiary calendar aperture and seconds ring to the centre, replaced hands, with unstamped falseplate to the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement now striking on a gong; case late 18th century, movement and dial associated and adapted -- 91in. (230cm.) high
