The case of typical form, the hood with bell top (adapted), pierced sound frets to front and sides and surmounted by giltwood figural finials, the arched brass dial with engraved borders, painted moonphase to the arch with inscription Tempus Fugit, cast brass seasonal spandrels to the silvered chapter ring signed DAMES STARRE AMSTERDAM, matted centre with silvered alarm disc, painted steel hands, date aperture above VI, the thirty-hour four pillar movement with anchor escapement, the alarm mounted on the right side of the movement, Dutch strike on two bells above; two weights, pendulum
