Overall in good decorative order, with some restoration which has been well executed. Some minor wear overall. Restoration to the very tips of the wings and tail. There is a small (0.5 cm.) retouched flat chip to the plumage between wings on his back. Six of the applied leaves broken and restored with clear lacquer. Further minute chipping to edges of leaves. The uppermost branch top to the stump broken and restored (approximately 1.5 cm.). Crescent shaped section restored to back of the base, approximately 4 cm. across and 3 cm. high. Minute flake to beak.

This particular model of a finch with cherries appears to be rare. Another example from the Charlotte Schreiber collection is now held in the Victoria and Albert Museum collection (414:218-1885).
