Life is here, Verlaine tells us. Beyond the walls, above the roof. With all his being, he abhors the confinement of a space that paralyzes him, suffering from a roof that binds him to the night. He thirsts for freedom, and his dream allows him to imagine the simplest of aspirations: no longer being separated from the sky by a roof that becomes his jailer.

We believe it would take just one artist from this exhibition to fulfill his wish—not by freeing him from the space that stifles him but rather by magnifying it, transforming it into the cradle of all liberty: the birthplace of creativity.

The roof of our Maison is unique. Its essential mission is to shelter the fruits of thousands of imaginations, stories, and talents. Week after week, a new sky takes shape there—sometimes surreal, sometimes more classical, often contemporary and luxurious, and occasionally evoking other continents.

These skies are drawn through the work of all the artists who have accepted to participate in this new edition. We sincerely thank them.
