The straight single-edged European blade with upper spine and various grooves, etched with floral sprays, mounted cavaliers and a latin motto "amor vincit omnia" (love conquers all), the hilt of typical form decorated with panels of gilt scrolling arabesques combined with niello inlaid similar designs divided by panels of plaited wire, the leather covered wooden sheath with four similarly decorated mounts, very slight denting, generally good condition
