CIRCA 1730, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK AND WHEEL-ENGRAVED JAPANESE PALACE MARK N=226- W
Painted with a large running red tiger with spiralling gilt stripes, large whiskers and a long striped tail, the border and well at the right with a large branching flowering stem of bamboo, one stem curved about the edge of the well and border with pale-turquoise, red and gilt flowers, the centre of the plate with scattered turquoise foliage (areas of wear to tiger, further areas of minute wear, slight pitting from time of firing)
