With browned sighted barrel with gold-inlaid inscription at the breech 'De Herraduras Por Miguel Guisasola En Eybar (sic) Año 1840', two gold lines, engraved case-hardened patent breech, border engraved case-hardened lock inscribed 'En Eybar (sic)' and engraved with a stag on the tail, the hammer chiselled as a lion on a serpent, figured walnut half-stock with cheek-piece, chequered grip and fore-end, the former carved with a monster-head in high relief, engraved case-hardened iron mounts including butt-plate with hinged cover to the butt-trap, chiselled side-plate in the form of a monster, iron sling mounts, and original brass-tipped whalebone ramrod, in fine original condition throughout
