The movement with square baluster pillars, chain fusee and verge escapement with foliate engraved balance cock and silver regulation disc, the backplate signed Massey London 8917, the gilt-brass circular dial with movable Japanese chapters and blued steel hands, plain silver pair cases hallmarked London 1758; with a shitan wood travelling box with separate compartment for the foliate cast gilt-metal crank key
