With single-edged blade of characteristic form engraved with a vase and flowers on one side, and on the other with foliage and Turkish inscriptions, together with a maker's mark, the forte covered with shaped panels of nielloed silver, the silver hilt embossed and chased with strapwork, foliage and rococo ornament against a stippled ground, in silver scabbard decorated en suite with the hilt and involving a lion on one side and a bird on the other, silver-gilt locket pierced and chased with foliage, and silver-gilt chape formed as a monster-head with copper tongue
