With two-stage barrel retaining faint traces of gold-damascened decoration at the breech and with silver fore-sight, engraved tang, engraved flat bevelled lock with indistinct signature, full stock carved with foliage in relief at the barrel tang (fore-stock damaged), iron mounts including spurred pommel with silver lion's mask cap, pierced silver side-plate finely cast and chased with scrollwork and a medallion bearing a Classical head, silver trophy of arms escutcheon engraved with a quadruped and surmounted by a ducal coronet, and original iron-capped ramrod (in worn and corroded condition)
