A German two-hand sword
In 16th century style
With broad double-edged slightly tapering blade with three fullers on each face of the forte and fluted ricasso struck twice on each face with an orb and cross mark, the iron hilt comprising long slender slightly arched quillons with mulberry-shaped terminals, arms with the tips joined on the outer side by a ring with a mulberry-shaped central feature, saltire-shaped inner guard and thumb-ring, globular pommel encircled by a wide band chiselled with a diamond trellis pattern, and cord-bound leather-covered wooden grip with mouldings (metal partly acid cleaned)
