The silvered dial intricately engraved with flowers amongst scrolling foliage on a hatched ground, narrow silvered Roman chapter ring with finely pierced fleurs de lys hands and vacant signature cartouche, typical 8-day going barrel movement with plain steel balance to lever escapement, the case backplate with escapement viewing shutter and engraved C.F. Hancock successor to Store & Mortimer's by appointment to H.M. Queen Adelaide & H.J.M. The Emperor of Russia, 39 Bruton St., London, the rectangular multi-layered and foliate engraved case with hinged loop handle to the top and with either folding easel stand at the back or swivel foot in the base; original foliate engraved double-ended key and black-leather and blue velvet-lined travelling box
