The case with foliate-cast handle to the gilt-metal foliate cast basket top flanked by four gilt-metal ball finials, glazed sides, gilt-metal repoussé mounts to the front door, later ball feet, the 17 cm. sq. dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with blued steel hands, plain matted centre, winged cherub spandrels, latches to the five ringed pillars of the movement now with single gut fusee for the going with re-built verge escapement, the strike and repeat trains now entirely removed, the backplate typically engraved with tulips within scrolling foliage and signed Henry Jones in the Temple within a foliate cartouche
