The case of typical proportions with bevelled side glasses, similarly glazed top with push repeat button and typical reeded handle, solid rear door with shutters for winding and hand-set apertures, balance regulation and strike/silent slide, foliate arcaded engraved mask to the silvered Roman dial with blued fleur de lys hands, signed James McCabe Royal Exchange London 3300, the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with Harrison's maintaining power, large gilt platform having underslung lever escapement and plain three-arm balance with flat blued steel hairspring, strike/repeat on gong, the back-plate with strike/silent lever and signed James McCabe London 3300; with original numbered winding key
