A late Regency rosewood and gilt-metal striking large four glass clock

The case of typical form on gilt-metal bun feet, bevelled glass to the sides, the right side with milled gilt-metal push repeat button, strike/silent lever behind the front door and above the gilt dial profusely engraved with scrolls of foliage and flower heads, the chapter ring with painted Roman chapters and blued steel heart-form hands, the signature cartouche below signed Payne 163 New Bond Str. London, the five pillar twin chain fusee movement with maintaining power, large gilt lever platform with large diameter cut bimetallic compensated balance, strike on bell on the plain back-plate.
