The rectangular arched case on bun feet, with hinged handle to the top of the rear door, circular beaded escapement viewing portal to the top, the circular cream enamel Roman dial signed Goldsmiths Company 112 Regent Street London, recessed subsidiary seconds disc at XII, the reverse of the dial signed by the enameller L.DE SOUTTER No. 112, the unusual twin going barrel movement with high quality bimetallic compensated balance wheel with blued helical spring to lever platform, rack strike on blued gong of rectangular section the backplate punched numbered 31, the frontplate punched J.P (Joseph Preston?)
