DAOGUANG SEAL MARKS AND OF THE PERIOD

The exterior of each with four circular panels containing figures in lakeside landscapes, one in grisalle, two with additional sepia and pale enamels, the last in rose-verte enamels, all on a sgraffiato ruby-red ground embellished with lotus sprays, the interior with a stylized eight-point flower-head radiating blue leaves suspending beaded chains

A bowl of this pattern in the Roemer Museum, Hildesheim, is illustrated in the Ohlmer Collection Catalogue, no. 142; others have been sold in these Rooms, 2 May 1994, lot 679A and 29 September 1992, lot 612.
