The breakarch hood with wavy cresting surmounted by brass ball finials, with ebonised mock pilasters and ebony line inlay to the front, circular quatrefoil pierced sound frets to the sides, the trunk with breakarch door and stop-fluted chamfered angles, on stepped plinth with wavy apron, the 12in. (30cm.) circular silvered dial with pierced steel moon hands, seconds ring to the centre and signed John Moore & Sons Clerkenwell LONDON 9746, strike/silent above XII, the five pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement and strike on bell
