With broad curved single-edged blade reinforced along its back-edge and decorated on both sides at the forte with engraved flowering foliage against a stippled ground, a gold-damascened panel containing Arabic script above (on one side 'Whatever God Wills', and on the other 'O Bringer of Victory'), and gilt-copper hilt decorated with filigree and entirely set with pieces of fluted coral and small turquoise beads, in original wood-lined gilt-copper scabbard decorated en suite with the hilt on the outside and on the suspension mounts, and chased with scrolling flowering foliage against a finely stippled ground on the inside
