With rebrowned twist sighted barrels signed in gold on the rib, the breech with two gold lines (incomplete) and gold-lined touch-holes, engraved tang, engraved flat bevelled locks signed 'Gooch' and each with roller, rainproof pan and stepped tail, figured walnut half-stock (minor damage), chequered grip (chequering worn), engraved iron mounts including trigger-guard with pineapple finial, vacant silver escutcheon, and associated brass-tipped ramrod with worm (locks, stock and butt-plate replaced during its working life), London proof marks
