Each with rectangular bardiglio marble top, mirror-backed superstructure, above a frieze and a pair of glazed doors with an adjustable shelf, on hinged paw feet and plinth base, both the superstructure and the base of each with paper label 'Newton & Son UPHOLSTERERS & C. 63 Wardour Street /SOHO', the doors previously silk-backed and probably trellis-filled, later decorated, the plinths white painted over simulated porphyry on canvas laid down on wood
