A related pier glass with similar husk-carved scalloped plume and guilloche-enriched border was invoiced by John Belchier in 1723 for Erddig in Wales (see R.Edwards and M.Jourdain, Georgian Cabinet Makers, London, 1955, p.137, fig.36). Another from the Judge Irwin Untermyer collection is illustrated in Y.Hackenbroch, ed., English Furniture with some furniture of other countries in the Irwin Untermyer Collection, Cambridge, Massachusetts, 1958, pl.137.
